• Dr. Mark Rea Named Keynote Speaker for LIGHTCongress 2008
6TH ANNUAL LIGHTCONGRESS TO BE HELD ON EARTH DAY
Symposium Concentrates on Industry’s Responsibility for a Green Planet
New York, NY (March 1, 2008) – The 6th annual LIGHTCongress will be held on Earth Day April 22, 2008, announced LIGHTCongress founder Jeff Johnston. The premier media symposium will be hosted at a Manhattan venue yet to be named.
“Our Advisory Board’s planning focus for this year’s LIGHTCongress centered on the green initiatives facing the industry and the planet as a whole,” said Johnston. “An Earth Day presentation seemed a clear path to demonstrate our industry’s dedication and responsibility to this inevitable movement.”
The forum will also shift its schedule from a morning start as in previous years to an early afternoon symposium culminating in a cocktail reception. Registration for the event will begin at 11:30. The keynote address will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m. followed by the panel’s presentations. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at the end of the final panel, or approximately 5 p.m.
A room block has been reserved for overnight guests at a special rate.
